The word is used to describe the sensation of having glimpsed oneself in peripheral vision, in a position where there is no chance that it could have been a reflection. Doppelgängers are often perceived as a sinister form of bilocation and generally regarded as harbingers of bad luck. In some traditions, a doppelgänger seen by a person's friends or relatives portends illness or danger, while seeing one's own doppelgänger is an omen of death.

Siroco en Tarifa

Se presenta en masas de aire caliente, secas, tropicales, que son arrastradas hacia el norte por las células de baja presión que se mueven hacia el este a través del mar Mediterráneo, con el viento originado en los desiertos árabes del Sahara. El aire continental más caliente, más seco, se mezcla con el aire más fresco, más húmedo, del ciclon marítimo, y la circulación a la izquierda del punto bajo propulsa el aire mezclado a través de las costas meridionales de Europa. Estos vientos con velocidades de alrededor de 100Km/h, se producen generalmente durante otoño y la primavera, alcanzando sus máximos en marzo y noviembre. El Siroco es un viento que, debido a sus especiales condiciones provoca en personas más sensibles cambios de humor, dolor de cabeza...
